Babe Girl Turns 14!

20th March was my baby sister's birthdaaaaaay !!! She's now 14. Hwaaaaa so fast laaaah (I say this every birthday). Don't grow up yet staaaahpppppp

I think I'll legit cry when and if I see her go off to college. So attached to my youngest sister sampai she rimas with me. She's such a sweetheart lah, I love her so much!!!! I still call her baby girl because she still is k??? I always look forward to come home from college on the weekends because I get to make stupid jokes and she will actually laugh. I don't know if it's the "... k Nadia that was not really (at all) funny but luv ya so i'll laugh" or the real genuine "Nadia, you're so damn hilarious ???" but either way, appreciate it, man. You gotta appreciate people who laugh at your jokes because let's face it, we're not funny.

So! Last night at 12 am, I went to her room and brought cupcakes and wished her a happy birthday with kisses and hugs. Sampai again, she got rimas. But because it's her birthday right, so she let me hug a little longer without the usual "K ENUF!".

Bought her her birthday presents and a Batman helium balloon to go with it !! She was overexcited and I think she was on the verge of crying of happiness... but that might or might not have been due to the endless wishes she got from her friends on midnight.

We went out for dinner today at a very very very empty Victoria's Station. Like, not even joking, we were the only ones there..........

On the bright side, service was trés excellent! Though I'd appreciate more people so that we wouldn't feel so awkward...

I hate red meat. Really. I can finish 3 plates of rice and its lauk pauk in no time, but a piece of steak can go on and on and on. I think 'cause rice requires several chews and then you just swallow it. Steak you have to chew about 6 million times before you can swallow and eat another piece. Takes me forever !

Went back home and we decided it was too early to knock out. Needed some TLC with my camera.

This is Tania trying to model. CLEARLY not workin' out for her, poor girl.

Wearing my Mimpikita x FV top! Loooove itttt ! Saved it for an occasion and since it was Iman's birthday dinner, thought I'd finally let the damn thing breathe from being suffocated in the huge mess of a closet.

Iman obviously in her new Batman tshirt.

Happy Birthday, sweetheart !!!!! Can't believe you're in your second year of teenagehood !!!!!! Love you more and more everyday and every joke and every karaoke session. Can't describe how much I appreciate you for being yourself and for indirectly teaching me to be carefree and young and just, live and laugh everything off. You're only 14 but you're my personal inspiration and I wished when I was your age, I was as cool as you, hanging out with all the boys and going to the mamak nearby and lepak-ing. Kids these days!!!

Can't wait for you to grow up and become an even more intelligent and beautiful young lady but really really really want you to stay the way you are, Batman tshirts and all.

Forever, Iman, I will forever and ever love you and look out for you. No matter what.
And this is the only promise I know I can keep, insyaAllah.

Kids Meal

I miss the Taman Tun library ! Used to spend my mornings and evenings there studying for an exam. Was so disciplined then... what happened?!?!

So Puchee and I decided to sit out butts down there and study. Supposedly til the library closes but we got too hungry after a while so we went to Secret Recipe where I had tiny burgers with alphabet chips. Cute as can be but...

...  then we got hungry again. So we left early (because the 7000th yawn wasn't cutting it!) and had Ikea for early dinner. I also bought very very very unnecessary napkin rings.... I still don't know why I got them......

HMMM

One's with brocoli and plain water and the other with gravy dipped potatoes with Coke.

TAKE A HUGE GUESS WHICH ONE IS MINE AND WHICH ONE IS PUCHEE'S.

Because I sooooo love my broccoli's, right???

Parked

I learned driving after SPM and only actually drove about a year later. I know right.
My brother, who also took his driving lessons after SPM, drove more in the week he got his license than I have in a whole year.

So one day, I just picked myself up and drove.
I'm not the best driver in the world but still good enough to drive my siblings around without them complaining pening kepala. K fine they used to lah but still! Much better now!

But guys.

I just achieved something I'm so proud of.

Reverse parked. Senget a bit but hey, baby steps!!!!

Wonderfriends

Wondermama!

Appreciate these girls because they never whip their phones out during our outings like this. Since we don't see each other often, we try and sembang as much as we can.

Don't know what we were so deep in conversation about. Could've either been about Uniqlo pants or the Lahad Datu situation............

Grateful for friends like these; makes waking up 9 am in the morning worth it.

'cause we all know that's damn hard to do on a Sunday morning

DIKIR BARAT '13

Yesterday was MCB night! I can't believe it's been a year already since our MCB Video that I love and love and love so much hahaha, still so proud of it!! Maybe 'cause it's the only one we've won.... but hey ho luv it still

Anyway

Instead of boria, we had dikir barat and traditional dance this year. MCB didn't feel like MCB though (in case you're wondering, MCB is Minggu Citra Budaya and it's a week in KY where we all get in touch with our Malay roots... or something liddat) because we didn't have the games or competitions like last year. It was literally just dikir and dance ! Last year we had boria, videos, wau-making, batu seremban, that selipar game, and so many more I don't even know what they're called.

Everyone did an amazing job with their dikir barat and dances !!!!!! So happy for everyone and so proud lah of the juniors for knowing how to be so impressive ! All the houses were really good and so semangat !! I love these events because you can taste the spirit of all the 4 houses cramped in the hall! So fun and this is going to be the last event til after A2 which is crazy sad for me 'cause I love KY (I think this has been established on numerous occasions).

#topaz was so uniform and teratur and so well-rehearsed. Everyone was lah but this one look especially organised and sedap mata memandang (hamboi kemain)

#diamond was also very very good! SO GILA COMEL. I remembered saying that so many times to so many people! They were the cutest lah with expressions and everything ! Their costumes remind me of frogs which made them even cuter! Not that I think frogs are cute or anything... I mean like, the frogs in cartoons lah, not the hardcore loud frogs you find in KY.

#sapphire was exceptionally amazing. Their moves were so elaborate and nobody looked like they forgotten any of it which was trés impressive. Fauzan dahlah kat tengah tengah so his enthusiasm prevailed like mad with his crazy lenggok (you'll see it in the video. He's the one in the middle and well, when I mean 'crazy lenggok', you'll know which one he is!) and everyone looked like they were having immense fun. So fun to watch!!!!!!

And here's Garnet !!!!!!!! So proud and happy after their performance !!!! They looked thoroughly satisfied and happy and so semangat throughout their performance which made me EVEN happier and prouder!!!!! By then, I didn't really care for the outcome honestly (because everyone was so good!!) so I was just happy that they made the whole hall cheer and scream and so many gave a standing ovation !!!!!! (do I sound like a proud mama yet)

And what is a KY event without photos like these...

and this...

and this...

There was a video montage of our boria competition and it made me miss my second semester in KY like craaaaaaaaaaaaazy I'm so attached to this college I don't know how I'm going to react when my last day in college arrives. I'll probably shed a bucket or two...

... LOLJK I'LL DEFINITELY shed a bucket or FIVE.

Traditional dance by the girls were also super super good!!!!!!!!! So impressed with their dances especially Diamond and Sapphire !!!!!!!! I love my Garnet girls and had so much fun at their practices but got to give credit where credit is due and say how greatly I admire those girls dengan sprained ankles (hi Puchee and Asiyah!!) and long hours of practicing !

#sapphire

#garnet

#diamond

#topaz

Good going girls, I feel like dancing traditional now.....

Anyway! Here comes the anxious wait for the winners. I hate this feeling, hate it so much that I wanna pee waiting but I kinda love it because everyone's in their respective houses in one part of the hall and when a house wins, the WHOLE place erupts with screams and hugs and shrieks and smiles from ear to ear. It's a wholesome feeling that you can't get anywhere else.

Topaz for best costumes!
Diamond for best choreography and dance overall.
Garnet wins for best tukang karut (Mas, our tukang karut, left early because he wasn't feeling well and headed straight back to the chalet)

Garnet wins for best choreography for dikir and overall dikir barat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm being such a Garnetron here but really really so proud of the boys lah for all they've done but I was just so happy for them !!!

Such a great night out with my mates and watching the juniors from all houses perform makes me feel so reminiscent of our boria night and Bangsawan last year. Don't think I wanna leave KY yet......

G-DOUBLE-O-D J-O-B GOOD JOB GOOD JOB GOOD JOB!

VIDEOS!

(Garnet Part 1)

(Garnet Part 2)

(Sapphire)

(Topaz)

(thanks Shaza, Muz and Diy for the videos)

P/S
To Sapphire, if any of you are reading this, I'm still actually quite upset on your behalf for the outcome and I really thought you guys would have placed for dikir because your performance was so brilliant, I was on my feet giving you a standing ovation !!!!!!!! And so did so many other people !!!

But I'm so confident and sure of the juniors to naik nama Sapphire to where it really should stand. If you won first for dikir instead of Garnet, believe me you, I and the rest of the house would have cheered you on like no other. Such a class act and wishing you all the best in the future!!!!!! Love you Sapphire !!!!!

and to Garnet;
Congratulations, boys and girls!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love y'all and your spirit and your enthusiasm and your joy and thanks for being the best :")
