Sat & Sun

Ok so today was gross.

I slept practically all day! Slept pretty late last night because I was out with the boys for drinks. Only slept at 4 something and woke up at 12. Came down for lunch and after having 2 plates of rice, I came up to continue watching Goblin only to fall asleep while watching. AGAIN!! Next thing I knew, it was 6 pm. I don't recall my week to be that tiring so I don't know what got into me that I slept all day today. But I quickly consoled myself saying that it's the weekend, when else can I sleep all day, right?

Right.

I'm determined to have an early start to my day tomorrow - to make up for today's lack of activity.

I'm turning 24 this Thursday!! Pretty wild that it's already a whole year of me being 23. Too fast, too fast!! I'm pretty stoked for this birthday, not because I have a million things planned but because it's my first time celebrating at home! It's been a good 3 years since I had a proper birthday dinner with my family. I've had great times celebrating with my friends in the UK but it wasn't quite the same without family with me. We're having dinner at one of my favourite restaurants and I can't wait for the actual dinner because of the food to be quite honest. And the cake. Who doesn't love a good birthday cake?

I'm still doing good with my monthly resolution - it's been a No Sweet Drinks January for me so I haven't had a glass of sirap limau in what seems like ages! But I think I'm cutting a huge amount of sugar. I drink sirap limau every working day and I drink coke atleast once during the weekends. I've only, **ONLY** been drinking plain water and/or green tea. I'm dyiiiiing for a glass of sirap limau and McDonalds don't feel the same without coke.

Ok, so waking up early failed totally. Slept late again last night because I was watching every video on The View's Youtube channel. I love myself some Whoopi and Joy.

Only left for Starhill for my hair appointment at 3:30. Reached 10 minutes late because parking is a struggle forever and always on a Sunday. Thank goodness for valet. I love Pavi for its valet parking, KLCC and Curve for its all-female parking space. It's just so much easier for us lone shoppers. And safer, of course.

This was my 2nd time at Number 76. Last time I went, I went to colour my hair and I really disliked the result - it was beautiful first few days but the colour totally ran 2 weeks in in which I had to recolour it. So I didn't bother going for anything else sine then but I got an email this week saying I was entitled for a complimentary hair treatment because it's my birthday month.

Umm... yes please sign me up??

I had to wait for an hour from my scheduled time but I wasn't going to be a fussy customer because this was free so I wasn't going to make a huge deal out of it. And they were very apologetic about it so that's fine. It'd be a totally different story if they were indifferent to me. TBH I don't see a huge difference. It just looks nice now because they blew dry it but I don't know how my hair feels post-treatment. But whatever, it was free.
(EDIT : Writing this 2 days after the treatment. My hair actually feels moisturised and less frizzy. Blew dry my hair this morning and it was just a lot more easy to straighten it out than it was pre-treatment. And when I was shampooing my hair, my wet hair felt a lot softer to the touch which wasn't the case before this. I kinda really like it but we'll see. I'm still doubtful!)

I finally got myself a 2017 diary because holy cow it is SO difficult to find a decent one. My 2016 one was from Paperchase and I miss it! I feel like Typo is the one and only option here and although some of their things are cool and quirky, I'd appreciate more choices in the market. It's pretty sad that there's not much stationery-dedicated stores here.

That's my weekend. I'm going to blog more on Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (henceforth referred to as 'Fairy') because it ended this week and I've never felt this happy and this sad for the ending of a Korean drama since Reply 1988 (which if you've not been following my blog and/or myself you wouldn't have known that I'm practically the ambassador for that drama). I've got so much to say and it's really one of the best things I've watched ever and I can't wait to blog about it and post all the photos!!

Hope January has been pleasant for everyone! Drink more water because it's hella hot these days and don't forget to slap on some sunblock. Very important, girls!

xx
